Description: Word Association

The tutor writes a word on the board, and students will come up with as many words related to the original word as they can for 1 minute.

Activity:

Start by writing a word on the board or screen. Then, have students write down as many words as they can think of that are associated with the original word. For example, if the word is “tree,” students might write down words like “forest,” “leaves,” “nature,” and “growth.”
