Description:

Students will participate in an annotation scavenger hunt where they will identify annotations from a text.

Objective:

To help students learn the different types of annotations.

Activity:

Annotation Scavenger Hunt: To do this, create a list of different types of annotations, such as highlighting, underlining, circling, and making margin notes. Then, hide these annotations throughout a piece of text. Students can then work together to find all of the annotations and identify what type of annotation each one is.
